Drugs worth more than almost $2 million have
been found by the British police at Heathrow
Airport in one of the biggest seizures of illegal
substances at the UK airport this year.

The drugs were discovered in wrapped packages
inside two suitcases that had been on a flight
from Amsterdam on Monday.

Agents from the UK Border Agency discovered
around 33 kilos of cocaine, two kilos of heroin,
and two kilos of methamphetamines.

A 47-year--old African-born UK resident was
arrested and charged with attempting to import
controlled drugs. Adegboyega Ayobami Adeniji,
residing at Hemel Hempstead, appreared before
Uxbridge magistrates yesterday. Graeme Kyle,
from the border agency, said:
"This was a significant seizure.".
